Dr. Tintweiss is a New York State Certified School Psychologist. She specializes in psycho-educational, emotional, and behavioral evaluations of school-aged children. Dr. Tintweiss has been a practicing school psychologist with Nassau BOCES for the past 20 years, and has extensive experience working with both special education and general education students.

 

Dr. Tintweiss has extensive experience conducting comprehensive

psychological, educational, emotional, and behavioral evaluations with school-aged children. Dr. Tintweiss has worked in public as well as private / independent schools, and has worked with both special education and general education students.

Dr. Tintweiss also offers short-term solution-based interventions treating a variety of behavioral challenges resulting in quick and long-lasting behavioral changes.  Intervention involves working with both the parent and the child with an emphasis on learning new alternative behaviors to problem behavior, modifying behaviors in a positive and respectful way, and ultimately achieving a positive sense of self and the ability to reach one’s full potential.
